On Sunday, September 16, 2012 The Holiday Inn and Suites hosted a Bridal Social.  Thank you to all our preferred vendors who participated and a special thanks to all the Brides, Grooms, Family and Friends who attended and enjoyed the day.

Mr. & Mrs. Anthony Piferrer

On Saturday, July 21, 2012 Erica Goodman and Anthony Piferrer were united in holy matrimony.  A full mass ceremony took place at Queen of Peace Catholic Church followed by a luncheon reception at the Holiday Inn and Suites.  Guests wined and dined on a lavish Tuscan inspired buffet.  The happy couple departed for a Puerto Rico for a sun filled honeymoon.

When the temperature is soaring and the thought of layers of heavy fabric, makeup and an elaborate up-do is unbearable, there are some refreshing alternatives.  Summer is a great time to plan for a wedding.  Venues and vendors have plenty of availability and some even have special summer pricing. Think linen instead of satin.  Think mid-length or short dresses instead of long trains.  Think light colored, light weight suits instead of tuxedos. Fresh, cool and comfortable can still be elegant!  So pour yourself a tall glass of lemonade and plan away!

Mr. & Mrs. Pablo Morales

On Saturday, June 23rd The Holiday Inn and Suites was please to host the wedding reception of Faith Carney and Pablo Morales. Every detail was planned to perfection.  The room was elegant in a sea of deep violet with beautiful touches furnished by Party Time Rentals and gorgeous purple hydrangeas by Dan at Pedal Pushers florist.  Guests dined on a sumptuous buffet and the champagne flowed. Faith looked radiant in her wedding gown and groom Pablo was in his evening dress uniform as a United States Marine Corp Reserve who has served a tour in Iraq.  The couple left early the next morning on their Caribbean cruise honeymoon.  We wish Faith and Pablo many happy years of health, love and prosperity.

Mr. & Mrs. Larry Keith Brown

On Sunday, June 17, 2012 Michelle Brown and Keith Brown were married at the Holiday Inn & Suites.  Michelle and Keith met while they were both in the US Navy stationed in San Diego.  They became good friends and Michelle had reservations about taking the relationship any further because Keith was to be transferred to the east coast and the future was uncertain.  Keith had other intentions.  He was transferred to the USS Carl Vinson in Norfolk, Virginia and the pair worked hard at a long distance relationship.  It became time for Michelle's orders to come up and after three attempts she was able to secure a post on the Carl Vinson and the couple were reunited.  Keith proposed to Michelle last June at a romantic restaurant overlooking San Diego Bay and the city skyline.  He had so much to convey to Michelle about all the love and richness she added to his life.  He dropped to one knee and popped the question.  May they have many happy and healthy years together.

On Sunday, June 10th the Holiday Inn and Suites hosted a Bridal Social for prospective brides and couples that have already book their event at the hotel.  We had a fantastic group of wedding professionals on board.  The following is a list of participants.  You can also find them and their contact information on our preferred vendor list.  Thanks to all attendees and vendors for a job well done.

Adriana and Andrew

Adriana and Andrew met a little over two years ago through a mutual friend. But by devine intervention it turned out that they both worship at the same congregation.  It has been a story book romance ever since.  One afternoon Adriana went off to join her girlfriends for an afternoon tea party and upon her return home Andrew surprised her by romantically spelling out the words "marry me" with candles.  Obviously, the answer was yes!  We wish them all the joy and happiness in the world!

A passion for creating and executing led me to a career in event and wedding planing. My hobby as a foodie and home chef led me to a education in the culinary arts. For the past 20 years I have been shapening my skills at private country clubs and high end properties in Miami and New York. Allow my expertise to guide you through this important time in your life, so you can relax and enjoy the process. As Wedding Director my responsibilites include, but are not limited to;

• Assist in the design of your event
• Recommend our preferered vendors
• Act as liason between your vendors and the hotel
• Design your floor plan
• Assist our culinary team to customize your personal wedding menu
• Monitor your room block
• Assist you with your financial commitment with the hotel
• Work with the banquet team to oversee the total execution of the event; set up, staffing needs and food preparation.
